Dollar Rent A Car to Distribute Inventory via AgentWare to Corporate Travelers and Travel Agencies

AgentWare, a leader in Internet-based travel distribution tools, and Dollar Rent A Car announced today an agreement for Dollar Rent A Car to distribute rental car inventory to travel retailers and corporate travel departments via AgentWare’s Travel Console. This agreement lowers the cost of distribution for Dollar Rent A Car, while providing travel agents with more inventory to sell from within the AgentWare Travel Console product.

AgentWare distributes travel inventory to the travel agency and corporate travel markets by connecting directly with suppliers through a number of different connection types. These connections can be based on XML, HTML or SOAP/XML Web Services. AgentWare and Dollar Rent A Car have agreed to use Web Services-based protocols (SOAP/XML) to connect sellers with buyers. This method is quick and easy to implement, and is the least expensive and most capable distribution method.
